Health care and Fire care
I heard it said recently that healthcare should be provided much like fire care...to everyone. I have been thinking about this. I want approach this idea from the other way by asking the question, "if  the ideology that supports the

Support Debt Relief for Poorest Countries

The concept of "jubilee" is biblical. It is the periodic relief of debt for those whose indebtedness has kept them impoverished. As citizens of the wealthiest country in the world, we must encourage our government to lead the way in forgiving the debts incurred by some of the poorest countries in the world. In doing this we allow for the money that would be paid toward the debts incurred to instead be used for economy structure, agricultural expansion, education, and general good. This is a good thing that we should support. Find out more at www.jubileeusa.org.

Morning Prayer

As the sun does daily rise,
Brightening all the morning skies,
So to You with one accord
Lift we up our hearts, O God.

Day by day provide us food,
For from You come all things good;
Strength unto our souls afford
From Your living bread, O God.

Be our guard in sin and strife;
Be the leader of our life;
Lest from You we stray abroad,
Stay our wayward feet, O God.

Quickened by the Spirit's grace
All Your holy will to trace
While we daily search Your Word,
Wisdom true impart, O God.

A Beautiful Sound
There is nothing sweeter than the sound of my five year old reciting the Lord's Prayer. About a month ago I started saying it with him and his brother during our nightly bed time routine, having them repeat after me. Last week he started saying it on his own. Last night he said he wanted to lead us in the Lord's prayer and belted it out as if he had been saying it for years.

I've said it since I was a kid. I have recited it as an adult in worship services, at family gatherings, and in my own personal times of prayer. Yet, I have never heard it sound so sweet as when Cole said it last night. It adds so much more to the meaning of it for me. He also asked me last night about God being our "heavenly Father". Pretty cool.

Lenten Meditation
Come, thou everlasting Spirit,
Bring to every thankful mind
All the Saviour's dying merit,
All his sufferings for mankind;
True Recorder of his passion,
Now the living faith impart,
Now reveal his great salvation,
Preach his gospel to our heart.
Come, thou Witness of his dying,
Come, Rembrancer Divine,
Let us feel thy power applying,
Christ to every soul and mind;
Let us groan thine inward groaning,
Look on him we pierced and grieve,
All receive the grace atoning,
All the sprinkled blood receive.
